Graphic File Requirements

At FenceScreen.com we want your fence screen and banners to look great! Below are some tips and guidelines to help ensure your vision is accurately translated by our large format printers.

Preferred File Formats & Size

Regardless of the file format, your images should be output in the CMYK color definition. If possible, please use the Native File(s) your artwork was created from (.AI, .INDD, .PSD) and/or a Print-Ready PDF.

1. Vector Art: 
   Adobe Illustrator .EPS or .AI files (best quality). Vector files can be scaled to any size, are not resolution specific, and provide the best result. We also accept InDesign files (.INDD, .IDML) but make sure they're PACKAGED Indesign files so there won't be issues of missing images and fonts.
   
   
2. Raster Art:
   Very High Resolution .TIFF, .JPG, or .PSD files, should be A MINIMUM of 300 dpi at 1/12th scale. There is no such thing as too much resolution... the higher the resolution, the better the result. 300dpi at 1/12th scale is the minimum. If you have even larger files, DO NOT downsize them to the minimum. Send the full resolution files whenever possible, as the larger the files, the better the print quality will be. 
   
   
3. High Resolution PDFs:
   .PDFs file like Raster Art should be high resolution outputs generally from Illustrator or InDesign. 

Sending Us Your Files

• Files that are less than 10mb in size can usually be sent via email to [email protected], or via web upload: fencescreen.wetransfer.com
• For larger files, do not use email, use our web upload link: https://fencescreen.wetransfer.com/

Simply fill in your information in the boxes and link to your files. A confirmation email will be sent to both parties acknowledging the transfer and the download. You can send files up to 2GB at a time. Larger downloads should be broken into smaller sections.

Included With Each Order

The Large Format Service covers opening and verifying the files for color, resolution and suitability for large format output and generating up to three digital proofs used for approval.  Any work by our art department beyond this will be billed at $125/hr.

Perfect for outdoor commercial signage, our 411 series is made from our exclusive MAXFlex Vinyl™ banner material.

MAXFlex Vinyl™ has taken quality and performance of graphics on fence screen to a higher level. Adding signage/ graphics directly on colored fence screen was typically only used on shorter term projects due to the high costs of painting logos directly on the colored screens. MAXFlex Vinyl™ was designed as a long-term cost effective solution, offering full color printed graphics directly on colored material, tested to withstand rigorous outdoor environments ensuring your color graphics last for years and years outdoor in any climate.

With FenceScreen's exclusive MAXFlex™ logo printing technology, the back of the fence windscreens will be the same color as the front (white, black, green, royal blue, gray, and beige tan,) this application is required for long term projects that demand long lasting results; typical applications such as baseball, softball, football fields, tennis, soccer, school campus, or any commercial or industrial projects. With our MAXFlex™ Ink technology our full color graphics are print bonded directly to your fence screen eliminating premature weathering chipping, flaking, or fading. Our triple layer coating process literally bonds the image to the solid vinyl material and completely masks the underlying material color. Then the fence screen is finished with reinforced edges and black grommets on all four sides of the screen.

Example: A 6' tall fence = 5'8" actual height for privacy fence screen material.

*Note: All screens are edge to edge one (1) sided printed with the chosen material color and a small ID strip on the back edge. All finished screen will vary in size +/- 0.5-in.
